Does L&I have to authorize the treatment?

 

Authorization requirements depend on the type of claim and the service. In certain circumstances, prior authorization is required to continue treatment.

 

Can Dr. Montañez help the patient win their my claim?

 

No. Dr. Montañez provides psychological care and maintains independent clinical judgment. She does not provide legal advice or guarantee the outcome of a claim.

 

Can the patient or the patient's attending provider send the patient's claim number by email?

Does Dr. Montañez work with attorneys?

 

She may receive referrals from legal professionals when appropriate, but her role remains that of a mental health professional. Dr. Montañez does not act as the patient's legal representative.
